Comments:
Perched on a small hillock, Prasat Prei or the temple of the forest, dates from the same period as its neighbor Banteay Prei. It is difficult to evaluate the relations which necessarily exist between these two small temples, very with calms and slightly with the shelter of the glances.
The central part of the temple which was restored has beautiful pace, but there remains unfortunately only that.
Perched on a small hillock, Prasat Prei or the temple of the forest, dates from the same period as its neighbor Banteay Prei. It is difficult to evaluate the relations which necessarily exist between these two small temples, very with calms and slightly with the shelter of the glances.

The name "Prei" means "forest" in Khmer, which could indicate that the site was surrounded by vegetation or associated with a sacred forest.
This temple may have served religious or ceremonial purposes, or as a place of spiritual retreat. Its location in the jungle or forest reinforces the idea that it may have been a place of meditation or ritual related to nature.
A peaceful place to visit which does not move away us too much from the large circuit.Localisation :

Ce temple pourrait avoir servi à des fins religieuses, cérémonielles ou comme lieu de retraite spirituelle. Son emplacement dans la jungle ou la forêt renforce l’idée qu’il pourrait avoir été un lieu de méditation ou de rituel lié à la nature.
Un endroit paisible à visiter qui ne nous éloigne pas trop du grand circuit.
