Ce temple a été construit pendant la période d’Angkor, probablement sous le règne du roi Suryavarman II (au début du XIIe siècle), le même souverain qui a ordonné la construction du majestueux Angkor Wat. Bien qu’il soit moins grandiose que les temples phares du parc d’Angkor, Chau Srei Vibol possède une architecture typiquement khmère, marquée par des éléments symboliques et une atmosphère de tranquillité. Le temple est partiellement en ruines, mais ses pierres témoignent encore de l’ancien empire khmer.

Location : approximately 17 kilometers directly east of Angkor Wat.
This temple was built during the Angkor period, likely during the reign of King Suryavarman II (early 12th century), the same ruler who ordered the construction of the majestic Angkor Wat. Although less grandiose than the flagship temples of Angkor Park, Chau Srei Vibol possesses typical Khmer architecture, marked by symbolic elements and an atmosphere of tranquility. The temple is partially in ruins, but its stones still bear witness to the ancient Khmer empire.
